Meet Miss Jenkins!
I was born and raised in Prescott, Arizona. I attended NAU in Flagstaff where I received my degree in Elementary and Special Education in December 2004. I moved down to Phoenix (where the weather is much better than Flagstaff!) and was an intern at the Arizona House of Representatives for the Spring 2005 session. I was part of the staff for the Transportation Committee. I started my teaching career in Tempe and taught 4th grade in the Kyrene School District. I moved up to the North Valley in 2007 and taught 6th grade at Esperanza Elementary School in DVUSD for two years. I taught 2nd grade at Norterra Canyon for the past 3 years. I am so excited to be back in 6th grade teaching social studies. I love history and can't wait to get started! I have my masters degree in Educational Leadership and also have my principal certificate. I also teach education courses at Grand Canyon University. I love teaching!
